Fair Preparation Event

Preparing projects for the Riley County Fair is a fun and exciting prospect, but can prove to be difficult and frustrating for some of our 4-Hers and their families. To alleviate this frustration we host an annual “Fair Preparation” event, allowing 4-Hers to connect with experts on a host of project areas. This year we will host the event on Thursday, July 11 from 5:30-7:00 pm at Pottorf Hall in Cico Park. 

On hand that evening there will be experts in the project areas of Photography, Geology, Foods, Posters/Displays, Clothing, Entomology, Space Tech, and Building Creations . They can give you suggestions on project ideas, tell you what the judges will look for and what questions a judge may ask. You may also pick up fair supplies (entry cards, photo mats, photo slips, clothing labels, etc.).
