Foods, Food Preservation, Cake Decorating Judging, and Cloverbuds
All 4-H Foods and Nutrition and Food Preservation exhibits will be entered and judged on Wednesday, July 24 beginning at 2:00 pm. A bake sale will begin at 4:00 pm Proceeds from the sale will go to 4-H Council. Educational Displays and Nutrition Posters will be judged at the same time as food exhibits. Refrigeration will be available for perishable food exhibits from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, 4-Hers should tell superintendents that they have perishable food, which requires refrigeration. Cloverbuds need to bring their foods items this day also! (Perishable food is not allowed at the State Fair).
Cake Decorating will be interview judged from 3:00 to 6:00 pm
Remember that members will exhibit by age instead of by product class. You are limited to four foods entries (including gift baskets and yeast breads) plus one educational exhibit. 4-Hers are encouraged to come for interview judging during the assigned time for their club to help reduce waiting time. If you are not able to come during the time that your club is scheduled, you will be worked in. Interview judging will end after the last club group has been judged.
