Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC)

This March, K-State Research and Extension is partnering with the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and Network Kansas to host the 3rd annual Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) here in Manhattan. High school-age youth attending a high school located in Riley County will have the chance to show off their ingenuity and creativity, while showcasing a product, service, or future business concept. Cash prizes will be awarded to groups or individuals in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place based on their delivery in three capacities; 1) Executive summary/ business plan 2) Two-minute elevator speech or formal presentation 3) Five to six- minute tradeshow presentation. The top (3) placings at our Manhattan event will then compete in the statewide challenge in April.

Each participant or group must be present for the entire duration, 9:30 am-12:30 pm, on the March 5 YEC event date. You must register to attend. Registration will be on our website soon. www.riley.ksu.edu
